Engage

The Young Feminist Caucus aims to be a bridge between local communities and realities to the international processes that occur under the umbrella of the United Nations system. We aim to be as open, transparent, and accountable as possible in providing young people and adolescents from across the world with opportunities to engage, learn from, localise, and influence UN processes.

Revitalisation of the Commission on the Status of Women (deadline: 15th January 2025)

The survey can be accessed here.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) first met in February 1947. Nearly 77 years later, Member States are expected to discuss its revitalisation in 2025 during the 30-year anniversary, review, and appraisal of the Beijing Platform for Action.

The Young Feminist Caucus (YFC) invites you to share your reflections on what CSW revitalisation means to you and your organisations, networks, movements, and collectives.

We aim to compile these recommendations and thoughts into a concise yet comprehensive set of recommendations that we can share, strategically, with civil society, UN Women, and Member States.

No prior experience with CSW is needed for this survey so feel free to answer any or all of the questions below.

Beijing+30 Global Youth and Adolescents Recommendations (deadline: 15th January 2025)

The survey can be accessed here.

In March 2025 at the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), Member States are expected to adopt a Political Declaration on the thirty-year review and appraisal of the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action.

To maintain momentum and build on previous CSWs, as well as the various Beijing+30 Regional Reviews, Regional Forums, and Regional Consultations that young people have significantly contributed to, young feminist networks will convene the collation of recommendations from diverse feminist networks to produce the Beijing+30 Global Youth and Adolescent Recommendations.
